Available Models

The live model catalog lives in the web app. This page mirrors a recent snapshot for browsing, then explains how to read the catalog and where model choices take effect.

Model availability, pricing, context length, provider reachability, recommendations, and enabled state can change by account, team, plan, entitlement, and sync state. Treat the snapshot below as a reference; the web app is the source of truth.

Catalog snapshot

Search by id, provider, or name. Filter by provider or capability — selecting multiple capabilities requires all of them. The snapshot is regenerated from the Supabase ai_models table by pnpm gen:models.

Where to see models

Open Settings and use the Models section.

That section is the product-facing model catalog. It shows the models Mogplex can currently present to the signed-in account, including:

• provider
• model name and model id
• context length when known
• input and output pricing when known
• capabilities when present in the catalog
• availability
• enabled or disabled state
• recommendation badges when Mogplex has current recommendation metadata
• the current default model

What the Models section controls

The Models section controls account-level model preference state.

Existing agents, automation nodes, and repo settings can still carry explicit model choices. A default is the starting point for new work, not a global rewrite of every saved configuration.

How model access is determined

For a model to be useful, two things must line up:

1. the model must be visible and available in the catalog
2. the account or team must have plan-backed access to use it

Mogplex-hosted model access is managed by the account plan. Settings can show which models are enabled for the account, but users do not need external model credentials for hosted runs.

If no usable model is available, check the account plan or entitlement state before debugging agents, flows, or CLI login.

Enabled models vs hidden models

Most users only need the enabled/disabled split:

• Enabled models appear in normal model pickers.
• Disabled models stay in the account catalog but are not offered for new work.

Mogplex also has a hidden-model state for legacy catalog hygiene. Hidden models do not appear as normal choices, but saved agents or flows can still show legacy warnings if they reference an old hidden model id. Move those saved definitions to a visible enabled model when you edit them.

How the CLI uses models

When you sign in to the CLI with Mogplex account login, the cockpit can reuse the hosted model catalog.

In the CLI:

• the Header shows the active model for the current run
• /model opens the Model Picker drawer
• the picker uses the synced enabled model list when account-backed state is available
• switching models can be gated by the change_model approval rule

How agents and automations use models

Agents choose from enabled models. When you create a new custom agent or fork a preset, Mogplex starts from the current default model unless you choose another enabled model.

Automations follow the same principle for new agent nodes. The default model is a convenience for new nodes; node-level overrides still belong to the automation draft.

If an agent or automation node says its model is unavailable, check the Models section before editing prompts or routing logic.

Repo-level exclusions

Repos can have their own model surface in repo settings.

Models enabled globally can be excluded for one repo or space without disabling them everywhere else. Use this when one codebase should not use a specific provider, model family, or cost profile.

That scope split is:

• global enabled state in Settings → Models
• repo-specific exclusions in the repo or space settings
